Abraham and the Covenant of Circumcision

17 When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty;^[a] walk before me, and be ^(A)blameless, ² that I may make my covenant between me and you, and ^(B)may multiply you greatly.”

^3 (A)God Almighty^[a] bless you and make you fruitful and multiply you, that you may become a company of peoples.

¹¹ And God said to him, ^(A)“I am God Almighty:^[a] be ^(B)fruitful and multiply. ^(C)A nation and a company of nations shall come from you, and kings shall come from your own body.^[b]
